About Smart Reads

A small bookshop in Voi

Smart Reads is a small bookshop based in Voi. We sell colouring books, word search puzzle books and eBooks for readers of all ages, and we like to think of the shop as a warm, timeless home for creativity, fun and learning.

Something for everyone

Our shelves are arranged around the people who visit us.

• Parents and grandparents looking for something to delight a child, from animal and under the sea colouring books to first word searches.
• Teachers who want ready-made activities for the classroom, including puzzle packs and printable colouring pages.
• Grown-ups who want a quiet, absorbing pastime, with calm pattern and Kenyan landscape colouring books and large-print word searches.

Readers near and far

Many of our customers live in Voi and along the Mombasa road. Our eBooks, from bedtime stories to everyday skills, are for readers anywhere in Kenya and can be read on a phone, tablet or computer.

Why colouring and puzzles

Colouring, solving and reading ask us to slow down for a while. For children they are a happy, screen-free way to learn and imagine. For adults they offer a gentle break from a busy day. We hope you find something here that you will enjoy for a long time.
